4 Things You Need to Remember to Connect to the Soul of Your Tribe
How many times have you heard Coaches and Leaders tell you that you need to connect emotionally with your ideal destiny client?
A thousand times if you're anything like me! The thing I always struggled with was thinking that I was putting out content that would connect me emotionally to them and it WASN'T WORKING!
So there were some things that I learned along the way and I want to share 4 of them with you. If you really take the time to work through these four things, then you'll be surprised how different your engagement and connection will be with the tribe your building.
Know Who You're Talking To & How You Relate To Them! People work with people that they can relate to. No you don't have to be exactly alike, however there must be some level of common ground. And it's your job to show them what that common ground is. They shouldn't have to hunt to find it. This is why for heart-centered and mission-driven entrepreneurs is sooooooo important to share more than just business. I mean because face it your life is made up of more than just business right?
Be honest! This is a MUST! Unless you're a professional liar and con-artist (and they are out there too) people can see through the smoke you're blowing up their behind. And even if you're a con-artist eventually EVERYTHING done in the dark comes to the light. So be honest about your journey and where you're currently at. It builds respect and trust. It is also where you create the most impact with your message. People see themselves in you struggles as well as your triumphs! Letting people see how you've overcome things let's them see that they too can overcome.
Tell Your Story! Don't try to tell anyone else's story, tell yours. Be transparent and share with people your journey to where you're at now. Think about anyone you've ever connected with and spent your money with 8 times out of 10 it's about the story that they told you that made you open your wallet. It's in this story that you draw on number one and display how you relate. But please, Please, PLEASE don't tell a story for the sake of telling a story. Speak with Serving In Mind! Robert Kiyosaki said it best, "Change your focus from making money to serving more people. Serving people makes the money come in." Don't believe him well maybe you'll listen to Zig Ziglar, "You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want." In order to connect emotionally you have to serve those that you want to connect with. It's about creating true community not just fans.
Remember this is your life's work so you want to be surrounded by the right people. The people you're here to impact, those that are here to impact you. This is a two way street a circle of giving and receiving. When done properly your community will learn from you, but you too will learn from them. But it starts first with an emotional connection.
